Harbor Island Paddle

I paddled around Harbor Island in Seattle.  Even though it started out cloudy at 1100, by 1300 it was very nice out.

We started a Jack Block park in West Seattle, paddled across the island to the East Duwamish waterway, up it, and then back down the West Duwamish waterway to the park.  About 5.5 miles in total.

Harbor Island is where the big ships unload/and load all their goodies.  The cranes are very large and the docks can be fun to explore underneath.

The Wast Duwamish waterway has a lot of tugs and other boats with a good view of both the high and lower West Seattle bridges.  The lower bridge pivots out of the way for large ships to get through.
