Started a 6 day trip in the south of British Columbia, CA. The weather is very hot (over 100F) and smokey due to wildfires.
The drive from Seattle to Keremos was around 5.5 hours with a nice stop along the Columbia River at the Beebe Bridge Park for lunch. Keremos sits in the Similkameen Valley and along with the area of Cawston to the east is a big organic, wine, and trout fishing area.
Across from our hotel was a very nice fruit/grocery stand and a very good Indian restaurant called Samosa Gardens. Highly recommended if you are in the area. You can see and smell the wood smoke in the air from all the wildfires.
Tomorrow we go to the Cathedral Lake Lodge in the middle of Cathedral Lakes Provincial Park for 3 days.
