Today we continued down the trail after leaving the dry camp.
Our tent was frozen last night, but we were warm inside. One thing about these camps is there is a lot of yak poop around. It is very dry and the yak herders bun it for cooking and heat as there are no trees. The horses are fed each morning from nose bags.
At the pass we saw the remains of a house built by a powerful person who married a yak herder's daughter. The clouds were blowing across the trail much of the day. We also stopped for tea to enjoy the views.
We were also able to see some yaks in the wild far down the ridge.
Finally we made camp following the sign the horseman left for us.Shortly after we got into our tent, it started to snow, hail, and thunder. So happy it didn't happen while hiking. The horseman was happy with the weather as you have to get snow and hail if you hike in the Himalayas.
