New Zealand - Day 7

Got up this morning and went to the dentist to get Sawako's crown glued back on.  Then we took a small plane like this one over to Nelson on the South Island.

The guides met us and after we were settled into the hotel, we took a quick walk up Botanical Hill.  At the base of the hill is the first Rugby pitch in New Zealand.

Botanical Hill is famous for being the center of New Zealand.  While this technically is not completely true, it is used as the point of origin for all surveys in the Nelson district.

The views of Nelson and the surrounding areas were wonderful.

Zoom in and you will see dead trees. These are invasive pine trees that are killed on purpose
