You get to see some falls and then walk up a well maintained trail until you reach a beautiful alpine lake.
The hike is 7.5 miles with 1800 feet of elevation gain. A great way to spend a day. On the way back we stopped in Northbend at Scott's Dairy Freeze (a local tradition) for icecream.
