I am very concerned about the impact of the latest AI powered by LLM models that is being added to everything online without any thought for the consequences. I encourage you to watch this video by Tristan Harris from the Center for Humane Technology which explains some of the impacts.
He focuses on that we know from our experience with social networks, that LLM model based AI will have many, much larger negatives unless we do something to implement it carefully which is not happening now. He focuses on the idea that AI based on LLM models has hacked our language. In other words, it is better at language, than humans are which implies that it can convince humans to do things against their best interests.
