We left Chumey for a short 1 hour drive to Jakar.
Along the way we stopped by a weaving center and found some really nice Yak wool scarfs. We also saw this guy with a load of logs. Seems like most of the homes in this area use wood for heat and possibly for cooking.

Our first stop in Jakar was Kenchosum Temple built in the 9th century. All around the outside are prayer wheels.

The next stop was Kurjey Temple. This is where Guru Rinpochhe subdued bad spirits to help a local king.
The final stop of the day was Tamshing Temple. It contains a 55 lb chain link blanket created by Terton Pema Lingpa. If you wear the blanket and circle the central altar area of the temple 3 times you will be rid of your sins and bad intentions.
A bit more driving and avoiding cows on the road took us to our hotel.
