Hiked up to Rampart Lakes area on a wonderful July day with Sawako and Joy.
Although steep, the trail is well maintained and once you are up on the ridge, it is very pretty.

At the top of the ridge there are several small lakes that you wander around and through.
The wildflowers were out along with bees and butterflys.
The hike covered 11 miles and 2200 feet of elevation gain.
