Today the first two temples are on this hill. We walked up past a bonzai nursery and then started climbing in the rain.
Part way up we had this view of where we started before we reached Temple 81, Shiromineji.
Leaving the temple we saw a rare Gemonori Stone and a cute sign.
Temple 82, Negoroji has a very impressive entrance.
After we left it, we ate lunch at this really nice henro hut.
We then hiked back into the city enjoying beautiful views as it stopped raining. Yes that is a palm tree.
In the city we saw kids walking home from school and this submersible bridge. These are actually pretty common in Shikoku. You just can't use them during high water in the river.
Temple 83, Ichinomiyaji was a peaceful oasis in the city and very close to our lodging for the night.
We stayed at Kiara Onsen which included a hotel and restaurant. The sunset was great.
