Day 16: Temples 31 - 32 and dentist

Sawako left at 0830 to see the castle. I stayed around until 10 to rest my foot as I have a dental appointment at 1030. Two more are needed after today. After the appt, we took the bus to Temple 31, Chikurinji.

It was up on a hill, but the bus took us right to the front gate. Still lots of steps. The temple has lots of maple trees, beautiful steps and was very peaceful.

Then we walked to Temple 32, Zenjibuji which has a wonderful view of the coastline. 

When we were done there we walked to the bus stop and took the bus to Katsurahama Park where we saw a famous statue of Sakamoto Ryoma who was a samurai who did a lot to create modern Japan.

Finally a short walk to our Minshuku for a nice dinner and bed.
