After Jurakuji, we went to Kumadaniji which is tucked away in a forested area. You can see our staffs in front of the hand washing area.
Temple #9 is Horinji which was in the middle of the valley. We stopped for a snack of sweet potato and citrus after visiting it.
Temple #11, the final temple of the day, is Fujiidera at the base of the mountain in the picture above.
I am very fortunate to be traveling with Sawako as she did a lot of work finding lodging close to the route, she speaks Japanese, and she has great rain karma. It really started pouring 15 minutes after we got to our lodging for the night. Be a bit muddy tomorrow, but the rain is supposed to stop by 0800.
We walked 24.1km today. You can see a map of my tracks here (you may have to refresh the page after a minute to get it to show). If you have Google Earth, it is faster to download a Google Earth file of my adventure from here.
